We are currently seeking volunteer befrienders,
in the Ashford and Maidstone areas, who could visit a visually
impaired person in their own homes to have a chat and a cup of tea or
possibly to read the newspaper or letters. The time spent on visits is
entirely up to the volunteer and as little as one hour per month is very
much apprecaited, to make a huge difference to the visually impaired
person. Drivers with cars are also needed to take visually impaired

you help? The Ashford Branch of The Samaritans need more helpers. You need
to be a good listener, open minded and non-judgemental. You do not need to
be an extraordinary person to be a Samaritan. It does take up a little of
your leisure time.
